BRRRRRR AGAIN!!!! REALLY??? This is the middle of April, and SNOW!!! Thankfully we didn't receive as much as they thought that we would, my brother in Maryville said they had 3 inches of snow and just north of them in Hopkins had 8 inches!!!!
Once again, we are aiming on taking our perennials out to their home in the perennial yard this coming Monday, if all goes well, we should have things back in place in a few days, and ready to ROLL! We HAVE been selling quite a few tomato and pepper plants, for those folks wanting to get a jump on the season and planting in pots. We are still recommending to wait 'til at least the end of the month for those veggies, they wouldn't mind the 50's at night but low 40's and high 30's would not be to their liking. We have a nice selection of garden seed and plenty of asparagus crowns and strawberry plants if you are ready for some digging in the dirt. As always we try to send along a planting guide for them; our rhubarb is coming up in the garden so you could start planting that also.
I know everyone is anxious to get outside and get some sunshine and fresh air. The forecast is looking fairly rainy for the next week, but it IS April and that is what we would expect, so we will appreciate it all, remembering the drought that we have had in the past. We can still prepare, plan, weed and dream of warmer weather to come, I'm sure it will help our cabin fever with every day of sun shine! Keeping busy making up planters and baskets.......
